Celebrating the 4th

The 4th of July is always a holiday we miss home and family.  I've got to say - as much as we love New England, we have been disappointed with the celebrations they throw for the 4th...or lack of.  Back home in Utah you had an abundance of city parades, including candy being thrown from floats, shows, fireworks,  festivals...and then you get to do it all again on the 24th.

We did get to go our city fireworks on the 1st, and then we had a delish BBQ with our good friends the Walkers on the 4th.  They even shared their fireworks with us.  And I guess that's the most important part of celebrating right?  Spending time with those close to us with lots of good food!
