Our little guy is officially 2!! My how the time flies... We celebrated pretty simply this year with a few new toys and an ice-cream cake from the store. The cake was a hit despite it not being a home-baked creation. Unlike last year when Ben cried after about 2 minutes of sucking on a chocolate cupcake, this time he could not get enough of his dessert. After about 3 scoops on his plate, we had to cut him off, despite being the birthday boy. We also got a HUGE snow storm in the early morning hours of his birthday, which had everyone - state wide - snowed in. We weren't complaining! It was so nice to have Brandon home for a warm snuggly day inside. Happy Birthday little Man!
An explanation of the gift: Brandon grew up in a very small town: Bancroft, Idaho. When he was little, they had a big Steiger tractor for the farm. Brandon used to go out with his dad and ride in that tractor all day long and couldn't get enough. Wanting to share a little bit of that history with Ben, he found a toy model of the Steiger Cougar PTA 280 series III and couldn't resist getting it.

I love Bancroft, ID. Never been there, but Brandon used to tell us all about it when we were missionaries...well, as much as he could because let's be honest, there's not much to tell ;)
Not much to tell? or was it changing the names and leaving he facts scarce to protect the innocent?
