Last night we had some friends over for games. Olivia hates to miss the party, so after four times of getting out of her bed to come join us, we put her in the prized "mommy and daddy bed" with her primary music going. When we didn't see her after that I assumed she'd gone to sleep. After our friends left at the end of the night, we went to check on her and there she lay in bed, wide awake. She was as thrilled as could be to see us.
O: "Oh - Hi Mommy! Hi Daddy! Did you come to snuggle me?"
Us: "Yes, we did!"
O: "Oh! You came to snuggle me!" (with a HUGE smile on her face)
"Ok - Here mommy! You can have this pillow, and daddy, you have this pillow."
(She proceded to put a hand on Daddy's cheek and a hand on Mommy's cheek)
O: "Oh - Are we a family?!?"
Us: "Yes, we are!"
O: "Oh, we are a happy family!" (beaming the brightest smile you can imagine).
Melted my heart.

man, it doesn't get any cuter than that! she is such a gem.
Don't you love it when they trump your annoyance with adorableness? All reason for discipline goes right out the window. So sweet.
